Il filo che ci unisce

Growing is a game we play together

With “Il Filo che ci unisce” we guide children in discovering the joy of being together and sharing experiences and emotions, supporting them in their growth journey.

All our activities are completely free, allowing anyone who wishes to participate.

The red Helmet

In the Barona district of Milan, at Via Antonio di Rudinì 18, in the “L’elmetto rosso” space, we welcome children and their families with educational initiatives designed for them. We also offer a space dedicated to study, play, and recreational activities.

Workshops and Outings

In various locations around the city – libraries, nurseries, kindergartens – and in the “L’elmetto rosso” space, we conduct workshops that start from reading a book and transform into practical activities to do together. We also guide children in discovering Milan, with outings that weave together play, curiosity, and culture.

Summer Camp

Every summer, before the start of the school year, the “L’elmetto rosso” space hosts our summer camp dedicated to primary school children and middle school students. The aim is to support families in balancing work and family life, offering young people a time rich in play, socialization, and sharing.

Soccer Tournament

Since 2022, we have organized the Soccer Tournament in memory of Filippo, dedicated to children and made possible through collaboration with local sports associations, such as Nuova Cormano Calcio. It is a moment of sport, friendship, and community that reflects his passion for play and being together.

The Thread of Tales

It is our animated reading workshop dedicated to the young patients of the pediatric clinic at the National Cancer Institute of Milan. Every Wednesday morning, through the Kamishibai theater reading technique, our operators tell a story to the children present in the clinic, followed by a creative and manual activity that also involves their parents: a time of lightness, imagination, and closeness.

The Corners of Filo

They are inclusive reading spaces for children aged 2 to 13 with autism spectrum disorder. Each corner is equipped with a suitcase, a large mat, carefully selected books, headphones, and a timer to ensure an accessible experience that respects each child’s individual needs.
The Angoli di Filo are present in the three autism centers of Spazio Aperto Servizi: two in Milan and one in San Giuliano Milanese. Thanks to the “portable” suitcases, they can also be set up in schools and other educational settings.
