To honor the memory of Filippo Sonsini, the son of one of our member employees, who passed away in 2019 at just four years old after battling rhabdomyosarcoma, the fund ‘Il Filo che ci unisce’ was established to support initiatives dedicated to children.
Filippo, known to everyone as Filo, was a curious and playful child: he loved the mountains, enjoyed watching ants and blackbirds. He also loved the sea, playing with water guns and his stingray-shaped swim ring. But his true passion was firefighters.
We promote and implement activities dedicated to children and their families: study programs, educational workshops, recreational activities, camps, and reading sessions.
Our initiatives come to life in the places where families live and connect within their communities: educational and recreational spaces, nurseries, schools, libraries, and hospitals. That is where we reach them, offering opportunities for connection, listening, and support.
Through play and social interaction, children develop their intellectual, emotional, and relational potential in environments that encourage exchange and interaction.
"Because there is no better way to remember someone than by doing good in their name, just as Filippo did, who always knew how to bring out the best in people."
